What we feed our minds is easily as important as what we feed our bodies.
Wholehearted is soulfood for your mind, a weekly observation to nudge your thinking and warm your heart.
Enjoy!
I owe you an apology. Having blogged consistently and written a book during a year of solo world travel, my goal on returning home was to work with baby boomers who want more from the second half of life. The process of reinventing yourself takes courage and compassion and goes so much better when you have a champion in your corner. How ironic, then, that with the website re-developed and programmes underway, my delight in supporting others to take bold steps backfired. I lost my nerve and writing a weekly newsletter became such a source of anxiety that it eventually fell off the radar. The more times people asked when the newsletter would be in their inbox again, the shakier I became. What could I possibly add to the conversation? Bah! It’s time to get back in the saddle. To reinvent this newsletter and to again offer the weekly observation and provocation that might encourage you to think again about where your life is going. I hope you’ll stay with me. Rather than setting goals for the coming year, I have chosen the theme of creativity. It’s the lens through which every choice is made. From which programmes to offer and to whom, to which books to read and what to write about. From developing Japanese styled garden, to pondering the next quilt design. Commitment to creativity keeps me going when the well dries up and inspiration is needed. Over the coming months, this newsletter will encourage you to look for new perspectives and get creative. It’s easy to get stale by doing what you’ve always done. It’s natural to wonder-worry about what change might bring. Start by completing this sentence for yourself. ‘If I knew that I could handle whatever came my way, I would…’ And knowing that you are far stronger than you think, what are your first steps?
Inspiration in your inbox.
